Rules of the game tick tock boom party. Rules of the game

30 minutes of intense gameplay where players are tested on their ability to act and think as quickly as possible, because the bomb can explode at any moment.

The set includes

  • 1 Bomb - timer - starts by pressing the red button, can explode at any time
  • 1 Game die - 3 different results can appear, they show how to arrange the letter combinations presented on the card in the word
  • 55 Letter Cards
  • 1 Rule for the game
  • Purpose of the game

    Each player must strive to name a word as quickly as possible that contains letter combinations presented on the card. If the player does not have time to name the word and “the bomb explodes in his hands,” then this card remains with him. The winner is the player who has the fewest cards at the end of the game.

    Progress of the game

    Before starting, mix the cards well and take 13 cards, put the rest aside. The youngest player rolls the dice and starts the game. The cube shows how to arrange the letters in a word.

    If the die rolls:

  • TICK - letters that are on the card cannot be used at the beginning of a word.
  • TICK - TACK - the letters that are on the card must be used, if desired, anywhere in the word.
  • TICK - TACK .. BUMM - letters that are on the card cannot be used at the end of a word.
  • Press the "START" button and fire the bomb, take the top card from the pile. The player must come up with a word and pass the bomb to another player in a clockwise direction so that he can also guess the corresponding word. Then the turn goes to the other player. The game continues until the bomb explodes. If a bomb explodes in someone's hand, then that player is considered the loser of that round and takes the card for himself. He starts the next round of the game.

    Words used

    Before the game begins, the players taking part in it must agree on what words can be used during the game. A word cannot be said twice in one round. But it can be called in another round. If the word does not fit or has already been named, and other players noticed this after the turn was passed, then the bomb can no longer be returned to the player who called the wrong word.

    End of the game

    As soon as the 13th card is played, the game ends, and the player who has the minimum number of cards is considered the winner of this game! If not one player, but several have the same number of cards, then these players continue to play for so long until the winner of the game is determined between them!

    In Yekaterinburg, where we bought wonderful games. And the animators of the ship "Sergei Obraztsov" taught us to play these games.

    In this post I want to show you how to play the game "Tick...Tock...Bumm Party", which we warmly recommend to everyone who loves fun games in company or with the family. Groups of 3 to 12 people can play it, although my talented children successfully play it together - without fish, as they say...

    The game comes in a thick cardboard box. Here's what's in the box (there are also rules, but they're not in the picture): 5 decks of task cards (275 cards), 2 dice and a bomb

    The essence of the game is as follows: the player throws a dice (the left of the two dice in the photo)

    he gets one of the task categories: “We know you”, “Question”, “Cocktail of letters”, “Original” (the second die is used here) or “Similar words”. You need to take a task card from the corresponding deck, turn on the bomb, which starts ticking loudly, and answer the question from the card. And then quickly pass the bomb to someone else. The next player answers this question (answers should not be repeated!) and passes the bomb to the next one. And so on until the bomb explodes - and when it explodes, you can’t predict, because... Her timer goes off randomly, differently each time.

    The picture shows examples of cards from each type of task.

    We know you. You need to name a famous person whose last name begins with one of the letters written on the card. In this example - VK (Kutuzov, Kirkorov, Vasnetsov). And if you name a person whose both letters coincide (that is, both his first and last name, for example Vasily Knyazev), then it’s absolutely good.

    Our hero with "M" is now invariably Marshak, with V - Vasnetsov, with O - and of course Obraztsov! And the husband, who has now become a Muscovite, joyfully called Sobyanin to S! And everyone looked at him with respect - these are the intricate celebrities he now knows! :))

    Question. There is a question written on the card, and the player needs to answer it. Question "Which TV show do you like most?" - at first glance easy. Everyone has a favorite show, or even two. The trouble begins when: a) if the player sitting in front of you loves this program and he has already named it b) if the bomb has been ticking for a long time, and all his favorite programs have run out :)))

    We began to answer the question about television programs cheerfully. They heard “Clever guys and smart girls”, “What? Where? When?”, “Good night, kids”, “Master Chef”. Then, with a creaking sound, “Let’s get married,” “Wait for me,” etc. began to squeak. Then adults began to pull out “Blue Light”, “Time” and “Song-89” from the bins of moldy memory and groan to the general laughter: “Well, what else is shown on TV?” :))

    Examples of questions: “Name the republic/region that is part of the Russian Federation”, “What plants can be found in your summer cottage?”, “What can be found under your bed?” (the question always causes a stir; you can find EVERYTHING under our bed and sofa!)

    A cocktail of letters. Letters are written in random order on the card, players must make a word from these letters. An analogue of playing a typesetter, only running and listening to the ticking of a bomb.

    Original. You need to come up with a word containing a syllable from the card. For example, VAR - jam, brew, cook, uzvar. The cube will tell you where this syllable cannot be placed: at the beginning of the word, in the middle or at the end. That is, if a given syllable cannot be placed at the beginning of a word, then “JAM” will no longer work.

    Similar words. A word is written on the card, and each player needs to come up with a noun with the same root. For example, WINE - grapes, winemaker, wine material, etc.

    The player in whose hands the bomb explodes takes the task card for himself. Well, to summarize: the one with the fewest cards wins.

    Prepare to start the game:

    six of us play in a noisy group: Ruhama, Leia, our dad, me, Anya with Misha and Tali in the wings

    roll the dice

    time has passed! Let's quickly turn on our brains - the task "Cocktail of Letters" has appeared

    The bomb must also be passed quickly so that it doesn’t explode in your hands!

    sometimes trouble happens: you just can’t come up with the right answer...

    But when Tali comes into play, everything stops. She intercepts the bomb, quickly presses the button and listens contentedly as it ticks! And everyone sits and looks forward to the explosion :))

    We really like the game and play it with great pleasure. And when a group of young people boarded the ship to play “Tick-Tock... Boom,” we didn’t see Leia in the cabin until 2 a.m., and the cruise director kept asking the players to laugh quietly and behave decently when the entire ship was sleeping.

    We present an unusual and very interesting edition that combines two popular board games - “Activity” and “Tik Tak Boom”. Now you have to not only explain words with

    using storytelling, pantomime and drawing, but also creating your own versions using given letters.

    To start playing, you will need to assemble 2, 3 or 4 teams, each of which must have at least two participants. Each team chooses a player who will explain the words in the current round. Shuffle the Activity and Tick Tock Boom cards and place them in one pile. Everything is ready - the game begins.

    Activity cards

    If you come across an “Activity” card, it will have a word written on it and a way to explain it. There are three ways:

    Drawing. The word must be drawn so that the team can guess it. With this method of explanation, you cannot use words or numbers in the drawing.

    Oral explanation. Use your imagination and describe the word on the card verbally. But remember: you cannot use words with the same root in the explanation!

    Pantomime. Try to explain the word on the card with gestures and facial expressions.

    One minute is given to explain the words - until the sand runs out in the Activity hourglass! If you have completed the task, move your piece along the playing field as many steps as indicated on the task card. The more difficult your task, the further you will advance.

    Tick Tock Boom cards

    Tic Tac Boom cards are cards that contain combinations of letters. If you come across such a card, throw a special die (with the sides “Tick”, “Tick-Tock” and “Tick-Tock-Boom”), which will determine the conditions for completing the task.

    -“Tick”: a combination of letters should not appear at the beginning of a word.

    - “Tick-Tock”: letters can appear anywhere in the word.

    - “So-So-Boom”: letters should not appear at the end of a word.

    Before the start of the task, a “bomb” is launched, which can explode at any moment! The team's task is to complete the task as quickly as possible and pass the bomb to the next team. The game continues until the bomb explodes. The team that managed to say the word before the explosion moves the chip 4 spaces forward, and the team that did not have time moves the chip back 1 space.

    The team that gets its piece to the finish line first will win.

    “Activity + Tick Tock Boom” is a great idea for a party, playing with friends or with children. This game promotes positive communication, general fun, helps with distraction and is a great mood booster.

    Equipment:

    • 165 Activity cards;
    • 55 Tic Tac Boom cards;
    • timer bomb Tic Tac Boom;
    • hourglass Activity;
    • game cube Tick Tock Boom;
    • playing field;
    • four chips;
    • rules of the game.

    When I first looked at the game, the first association that came to my mind was that it was like Erudite. In fact, the game is still very different from it, but at the same time you can’t help but feel that the creators of Tick Tock Boom still created it under the influence of the world famous Scrabble. Although, perhaps, the black and white cards simply evoke associations with the black and white Erudite chips.

    The game Tick Tock Boom includes 55 double-sided cards with syllables, a special game cube and the most important “feature” of the game – a timer bomb.

    Progress of the game:
    According to the attached rules, it is proposed to select 13 cards with syllables, and put the rest aside. We usually end up putting all the cards in a pile and stop playing when we get tired (most often we end up playing the entire deck).
    Then the player who starts rolls the die. The cube indicates in which part of the word the syllable should be

    Tick – a syllable cannot be used at the beginning of a word
    TICK-TACK – syllable can be used anywhere
    Bomb symbol - the syllable cannot be used at the end of a word

    After throwing the dice, the player takes the top card from the pile, turns it over (the cards are double-sided, so it’s better to turn them over so that no one comes up with words in advance), starts a timer and calls out the word with the location of the syllable in accordance with the value on the die. And then he quickly passes the bomb to his neighbor, who must also say the word, and so on until someone’s bomb “explodes.” This player takes a card with a syllable. This is his "minus".
    For example, you got the syllable “ma” at the beginning. You hold a wound up bomb and say, for example, “car” and throw the bomb to your neighbor. He says, for example, “milk” and also passes the bomb to his neighbor. Tom needs to quickly realize that milk doesn’t go well with “ma” and not take the bomb.
    But if you took it, then nothing can be done, the game continues.
    The player who has the fewest collected cards at the end of the game wins.
    Another interesting thing is that the charge of the bomb is unpredictable each time; it can explode after 20 seconds or after two minutes.

    The rules may seem too simple to play in an adult group. But try, with a bomb in your hands, to quickly name words with the right syllable, and even in the right place. “Ma”, “Pa” are still very light syllables, but try to come up with a bunch of words with “ism” or “act”. What if we complicate the rules further and add that words can only be nouns in the nominative case?

    And also, when all the syllable cards have already been played out and the words fly off your teeth, you can make cards yourself with new mega difficult syllables. In general, the timer bomb is very convenient to use in all sorts of other games, especially with children. My son and I, for example, are trying to learn or find letters using this timer. I must say that such training with such a thing goes with a bang!
